CentraState’s award-winning Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center (HAC) empowers children and adults to take control of their health and well-being. Created to promote and support the wellness of our patients and community members, the HAC is better than ever.
Located at the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, adjacent to CentraState Medical Center, HAC offers more than 200 health education and lifestyle management programs to help you and your family achieve your health and wellness goals.
Our dedicated team of registered nurses, registered dietitians, lifestyle management experts and integrative therapy practitioners, helps participants to lose weight, get fit, eat healthy, quit smoking, reduce stress, lower disease risk, and look and feel great. Prenatal, parenting and childhood programs for moms, dads, infants and toddlers help families get off to a healthy start. Programs ranging from healthy cooking, weight management, and first aid, to smoking cessation, integrative therapies for relaxation and healing, are resources designed to serve our community’s health and wellness needs for a lifetime.
The HAC also provides community health screenings, facilitates support and self-help groups, hosts physician lectures and special seminars with nationally renowned medical experts, operates a mobile wellness van, and brings many programs directly to schools, churches, organizations and corporations.
